Bem-vindos ao site oficial da SBED - Sociedade Brasileira para o Estudo da Dor, fundada por iniciativa de um grupo de médicos que participou do 1º Simpósio Brasileiro de Tratamento da Dor, realizado em São Paulo no dia 22 de outubro de 1982. A fundação oficial se deu às 20h00 do dia 29 de agosto de 1983, em reunião que se realizou no Centro Integrado da Dor, à rua Baltazar da Veiga, 490, em São Paulo, sob a coordenação dos neurocirurgiões Jorge Roberto Pagura e Moacir Schnapp. Em 31 de agosto de 1984, durante o Congresso Mundial da Dor, realizado em Seattle-USA, a SBED foi reconhecida como Capítulo Brasileiro (IASP Brazilian Chapter) da Sociedade Internacional para o Estudo da Dor Internacional Association for the Study of Pain IASP.

The Brazilian Society for the Study of Pain (SBED) is a professional society dedicated to advancing the study and understanding of pain. Founded in 1983 by physicians who had taken part in Brazil’s first symposium on pain treatment, held in São Paulo in 1982, SBED became the Brazilian chapter of the International Association for the Study of Pain in 1984.
