SBG Belfast

SBG Belfast is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Belfast focused on developing skill, confidence, and community in a safe, supportive environment. Its programmes serve a wide range of ages and experience levels, from children aged four to six through teens and adults. Youth classes use games and structured learning to build movement skills, technical confidence, and resilience, while the teens programme combines advanced study with athletic conditioning. Adult offerings include fundamentals, advanced training for blue belts and above, women-only classes, and Grumpy Grapplers sessions for participants aged 35 and over. The academy also provides private coaching sessions and sports massage.

SBG Belfast aims to make training accessible and welcoming, with an emphasis on ego-free learning, self-defence, and mutual support. Adult and teen memberships include access to the academy’s strength and conditioning facility, with sport-specific equipment, routines, and coach-led classes designed to support grappling performance. By combining martial arts tuition and fitness training, SBG Belfast offers members an integrated setting to develop their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and overall athletic abilities.
