Smaalenene Bedrifthelsetjeneste AS is an occupational health service owned by Indre Østfold Municipality and Marker Municipality, and approved by the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority. Based in Mysen, Norway, it helps businesses protect and improve their working environments through preventive, evidence-based expertise. The service combines professional knowledge, practical experience, and research, working closely with each client and adapting support to workplace needs.

Its multidisciplinary team includes an occupational health nurse, safety engineer, HSE adviser, occupational physiotherapist, and physician. Services cover systematic health, safety, and environment (HSE) work, including risk assessments, workplace inspections, internal control and HSE systems, and ergonomic guidance. The organisation also advises on psychosocial working conditions, physical, chemical, and biological workplace factors, sickness absence and inclusion efforts, and substance-use prevention through Akan-related work. Health surveillance and medical check-ups are arranged in collaboration with employers to help prevent work-related illness. Smaalenene Bedrifthelsetjeneste aims to be a practical partner and a strong supplement to businesses’ existing HSE and inclusion work.
