SBI

The Brazilian Society of Immunology (SBI) represents Brazil’s immunology community and works to promote research and education in the field, encompassing both basic and clinical immunology. It brings together immunologists and others interested in advancing understanding of the immune system and supporting the development of the discipline in Brazil.

SBI offers professional and educational resources through its congresses, courses, awards, and activities for members. Its website shares news, research-related articles, event announcements, and opportunities, including postgraduate training and research positions. The Society also organizes and publicizes scientific meetings, workshops, and symposia, and provides content through SBLOGI, its immunology-focused publication platform. Members can access a dedicated online area, while prospective members can find information about joining.

SBI further supports communication across the scientific community through regional sections, videos, photos, a monthly newsletter, and media contact services. Its activities connect researchers, educators, students, and clinicians, helping disseminate immunology knowledge and encourage collaboration. The Society is based at the University of São Paulo’s Cidade Universitária in São Paulo.
