SBIn

The Brazilian Society of Inflammation (SBIn) is a nonprofit scientific organization that brings together Brazil’s research community to advance understanding of inflammation. Its work spans basic, clinical, and translational research, connecting scientific discovery with education and the development of knowledge that may support treatments for inflammatory diseases. These include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, and atherosclerosis.

SBIn promotes scientific exchange through periodic meetings, professional development courses, member communications, and opportunities to share research. It also supports study scholarships and publicizes openings in scientific training, research placements, and academic teaching. Its annual INFLAMMA symposium is a major event, bringing together the inflammation community; the eleventh edition is organized by SBIn with the Center for Research in Inflammatory Diseases (CRID). The society also works with partner organizations in Brazil and internationally, including the International Association of Inflammation Societies.

Through its events, publications, awards, and partnerships, SBIn serves researchers and educators working across the field.
