New Beginnings is a leading non-profit organization in Santa Barbara County that has been changing lives for over 50 years. We are dedicated to providing quality and affordable therapy counseling, case management, shelter, and education to homeless individuals, veterans, and low-income families in the Santa Barbara-Goleta area. With our Counseling Center, Safe Parking Program, Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program, and Life Skills Parenting and Education Program, we serve approximately 2,000 people each year.

We are proud of our key accomplishments, which include offering one of the lowest sliding scale fees for mental health services in our Community Center, pioneering the first Safe Parking Program® in the nation and inspiring similar programs in other communities, and being the leading rapid rehousing program for veterans in Santa Barbara County. We have provided close to $4 million in direct financial assistance to help our clients obtain housing or medical services. At New Beginnings, our mission is to empower our community and help our clients lead healthy and productive lives by providing them with quality counseling, shelter, case management, and education.
