SC-IT GmbH is a regional IT and cloud services provider founded in 2012 in Leonberg, near Stuttgart. Established by Bernd and Tobias Peter as a subsidiary of a medium-sized Swabian systems company, SC-IT serves businesses seeking managed services and cloud solutions with a focus on data security and regional control.

Its SüdCloud platform is hosted in a data center in Calw, and the company emphasizes keeping customer data in the region. The service includes firewall protection, a privacy-compliant spam filter with individual quarantine mailboxes, and global Active Directory to support integration with customers’ existing environments. SC-IT also offers server and infrastructure services, data backup for small businesses, email services, domain registration, web hosting, and SSL certificates. Through SCdatenschutz, it provides practical advice on data protection and services from external data protection officers.

SC-IT presents its approach as straightforward and security-conscious, avoiding certain cost-saving virtualization methods it believes could compromise security or scalability. The company is based in Leonberg and provides support to customers in the surrounding area.
