Scalinatella NYC

Scalinatella is a fine-dining Italian restaurant on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, offering an intimate setting inspired by the Amalfi Coast and Campania. Its subterranean dining room, with exposed brick, arched alcoves, and warm lighting, creates a welcoming backdrop for romantic dinners, family gatherings, and special occasions. The restaurant’s approach centers on traditional Italian cooking, seasonal ingredients, and classic techniques, with local artisanal products complemented by ingredients imported from Italy.

The menu features fresh seafood, crudo, grilled Mediterranean fish, and handmade pasta, including signature hand-rolled linguine. Seasonal dishes showcase ingredients such as white truffles, porcini mushrooms, and zucchini blossoms. Guests can also explore a curated Italian wine list, spanning regional varieties such as Falanghina and Vermentino alongside Barolos and Super Tuscans, with staff available to suggest pairings. Attentive hospitality, daily specials, and a focus on Mediterranean flavors shape the restaurant’s dining experience.
