About ScanBalt BioRegion
ScanBalt® MTÜ is a dynamic innovation network that aims to bring together academic and industrial research, university hospitals, non-university research institutions, and highly specialized suppliers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical technology sectors across different European regions. With a remarkable return on investment of over 19:1 for its members, ScanBalt® MTÜ effectively promotes collaboration and cooperation among companies, regions, clusters, and funding sources. The network's core activities include acting as a Think Tank, fostering the generation of impactful ideas, and facilitating smart specialization by coordinating funding sources through its Accelerator program.
It also serves as a Match-making platform, connecting healthcare providers, companies, investors, and decision-makers. Moreover, ScanBalt® MTÜ actively communicates through its monthly publications, ScanBalt News and ScanBalt Business Club Information, as well as through various online channels. Additionally, the ScanBalt Business Club supports business development and market access by providing a platform for publishing company news, partner searches, and job advertisements.
With a vast reach that spans across 3000 companies, 50 university hospitals, 60 universities, and 50 healthcare clusters and networks, the ScanBalt Business Club serves as a valuable resource for those in the health and life sciences sectors. Notably, ScanBalt HealthRegion, an integral part of the EU Baltic Sea Region Strategy, drives cross-sectoral and transnational projects for innovation in health and life sciences.
