Scanbooster Ultrasound Simulator

Scanbooster develops a realistic ultrasound simulator app for medical students, clinicians and educators seeking flexible sonography and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) training. Available on iOS, Android and macOS, the Scanbooster Ultrasound Sim turns a smartphone, tablet or Mac into a virtual training environment without requiring additional simulator hardware. Users select physiological or pathological cases and practise probe handling, spatial orientation and anatomy by moving their device; the simulation responds to movements such as sliding, sweeping, fanning, rotating and rocking.

The app includes real clinical ultrasound datasets, adjustable imaging controls, an integrated quiz mode and live labeling that highlights anatomical and pathological structures in the scanned plane. Its case library covers specialties including internal medicine, gynecology, obstetrics, urology, pediatrics and angiology. Scanbooster also offers tutorials with explanations, practical exercises and knowledge checks. An optional Control app lets users operate the simulation wirelessly with a second device, adding simulated compression, contact loss and haptic feedback.
