Made in Iowa produces artisan markets and community events celebrating Iowa makers, artists, bakers, and crafters. Its Fall Market and Scarecrow Festival brings together approximately 150 vendor stalls, offering visitors handmade goods, crafts, original art, and food treats. The event also features a public scarecrow display, with creations from vendors and community participants showcased throughout the venue. Visitors can learn how to make a scarecrow and submit one for free in a suitable category.
The 2026 Fall Market and Scarecrow Festival is scheduled for October 17 and 18 at Hawkeye Downs Expo Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Admission is $5 for adults for the entire weekend, while children aged 12 and under enter free. In partnership with Together We Achieve, the event collects food donations at the entrance and invites attendees who bring food to participate in door-prize opportunities. Made in Iowa also presents a Holiday Market, extending its focus on local creativity and seasonal shopping.
