Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps (SVAC) is a community-focused emergency medical services organization serving southern Westchester County. It provides 911 ambulance response and supports residents with a range of health and safety services, including non-emergency ambulance transports arranged in advance. SVAC also offers community paramedicine, rapid molecular PCR and antigen COVID-19 testing at its Weaver Street headquarters, and vaccinations.

Education and community involvement are central to SVAC’s work. The organization teaches EMT, AEMT, and CPR courses at its training facility, helping students develop practical skills for responding to emergencies and saving lives. No prior experience is required to join as a volunteer; SVAC provides training for people interested in serving their community.
