Second Chance Equine Association (SCEA) is a non-profit organization based in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and relocation of abused and neglected horses and other equine. Unlike a sanctuary, SCEA focuses on assisting equine in life-threatening situations. In addition to their rescue efforts, SCEA is committed to providing equine education for both members and non-members.

They offer free seminars on a range of topics, from equine first aid to barn winterization, and conduct free and low-cost horsemanship clinics to help participants improve their relationship with their horses. SCEA also works closely with humane police officers (HPOs) to respond to cruelty cases involving horses. They fund the officers' continuing education and provide necessary resources to support their work.

By prioritizing education and prevention, SCEA aims to prevent abuse and neglect, ensuring the well-being of equine in their community. Becoming a member of SCEA comes with exclusive benefits, including liability insurance, reduced clinic fees, free admission to educational seminars, and access to a network of equine professionals. Your support is essential for SCEA to continue providing quality education and care for horse owners in need.
