The Saudi Cancer Society in the Eastern Province is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer and raising awareness of the disease. Its origins date to 2001, when business leaders, doctors, and academics discussed a proposal to establish a local cancer-care association. Following approval from the Eastern Province governor, the Society was formally established on April 21, 2003. Today, it brings together professionals, media representatives, and volunteers to advance its mission.

The Society provides social and practical support to cancer patients and their families across the region. Its listed services include assistance with treatment for non-Saudi beneficiaries, early detection, medical equipment, psychological support, accommodation, transportation, home-help visits, reconstructive surgery, wigs, and pilgrimage trips to Mecca and Medina. It also runs awareness and prevention initiatives, medical forums, volunteer opportunities, and family and children’s programs for beneficiaries. Through its beneficiary services, educational activities, partnerships, and community events, the organization works to improve cancer awareness and help patients access essential care and support.
