Suffolk Firefighters Hockey Club

Suffolk Firefighters Hockey Club, Inc. is a New York not-for-profit organization that brings together firefighters, emergency medical services workers, and other first responders from across Suffolk County through hockey. Its mission is to support participants’ physical and mental well-being, promote awareness of the volunteer fire service, and use games to raise awareness and funds for charitable causes.

The club welcomes fire and EMS personnel from any county agency, whether they serve in a volunteer or paid capacity. Members can take part in open ice sessions and other events throughout the year. Captains select players for charity, exhibition, and tournament games according to the skill level expected for each event.

The organization also hosts fundraising games, including a 2023 charity matchup between Suffolk County firefighters and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office. Suffolk Firefighters Hockey Club is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, and eligible donations are deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
