SchaatsverenigingVHL

Schaatsvereniging VHL, also known as Schaatsvereniging Vijfheerenlanden, is a long-established skating club with a strong presence at and around the ice rink in Utrecht. The association welcomes people of different ages and offers sporting activities throughout the year, combining skill development and fitness with enjoyment and community participation.

In winter, VHL provides skating lessons for children and supports training groups that take part in long-track competitions and marathon skating, with opportunities to skate on natural ice when conditions allow. The club’s youth programme is led by volunteers who help children learn to skate in a friendly, active setting. During summer, young skaters can join social inline-skating sessions, while training-group members build their fitness through inline skating, running in the woods and road cycling.

The club also lists skating clothing, trial lessons and training groups among its offerings. Its activities provide ways for both newcomers and experienced participants to stay active across the seasons.
