Schadewitzin Sukuseura ry is a Finnish family association founded in 2006 and based in Juva, with around one hundred members. It brings together people connected to the Schadewitz family and preserves the family’s history and stories. The family’s recorded starting figure is Mathias Skade, a cavalryman who received the Rantala farm in Juva from the Swedish king in the 17th century.
In summer 2023, the association published its first book, Salaperäiset Schadewitzit – suvun tarinat. Beginning with Mathias Skade, the book presents family trees from different branches alongside a collection of family stories. The association notes that people with several surnames, including Harmaja, Heikkilä, Lahdenvirta, Salmela and Suomela, may also belong to this wider family.
The website provides association news and information, membership details and an application form, a gallery, a discussion forum, and records of family gatherings. It also offers the family book and other merchandise for sale, alongside members-only and board resources. In summer 2026, the association marks its 20th anniversary with a celebration for members.
