About scharsoft-service.de
Scharsoft develops and shares software, hardware projects, and technical resources, with a focus on model railway control and practical utilities for Windows users. Its model railway section features DCC-based projects, including the DCC Lightsign decoder family for controlling lighting, signals, running lights, and other outputs. DCC Light is a lighting strip with an integrated decoder for illuminating railway carriages.
Scharsoft also presents RS485Notify, a modular feedback system that connects to a computer via USB, along with related modules such as GBM16, Reflex16, and LoopRelais. Supporting downloads include firmware, configuration and update tools, documentation, and the USB2RS485BUS driver. For general software users, the site offers the OEM Font Editor, with features for editing and exporting character sets in formats used by graphics and display tools.
Other utilities include DCC1718Calc for converting long locomotive addresses into DCC CV17 and CV18 values, and ISBeta, a command-line tool for checking a file attribute. Scharsoft’s website acts as a central source for project information, software releases, technical documents, and downloads
