About The Schechter Institutes
The Schechter Institutes is a prominent Israeli educational organization that is dedicated to spreading Jewish studies to all Israelis. Established in 1984, they serve approximately 85,000 adults and children each year in Israel and Eastern Europe. The Schechter Institutes offer a variety of programs and institutions that cater to different educational needs.
The Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies is the only academic institution in Israel that focuses primarily on teaching Jewish Studies. They provide comprehensive education in Jewish culture, history, and theology. The Schechter Rabbinical Seminary trains the next generation of Jewish leaders who will inspire and influence Israeli society while promoting religious pluralism and tolerance.
TALI, which stands for Enhanced Jewish Studies, is a program that delivers a Jewish Studies curriculum to secular public schools in Israel, where Jewish tradition was previously not extensively taught. Neve Schechter serves as a cultural hub that brings together people from diverse backgrounds to enjoy contemporary Israeli culture alongside Jewish tradition. Midreshet Schechter offers continuing and adult education programs in Hebrew, Russian, English, and French to Israelis and immigrants through Bet Midrash frameworks.
Midreshet Schechter Ukraine, established in 1992, provides Zionist-Jewish education in Ukraine in partnership with Masorti Olami.
