Schildia is a long-established brasserie on the seafront in Heist-aan-Zee, Belgium, offering a welcoming setting for meals and drinks beside the North Sea. For more than 40 years, the restaurant has brought guests together for memorable moments, with chef and host Patrick De Breuker leading its hospitality. Its cuisine focuses on French-Belgian specialities, served in a menu featuring a broad selection of dishes.
Guests can dine indoors or enjoy the sea view from the terrace on the Zeedijk. The lounge terrace is a relaxed spot for a beer, aperitif, gin and tonic, or snacks, while the indoor restaurant is suited to a full meal. Schildia also offers a wine list and its own Schildia gin. The brasserie has received recognition through repeated high-ranking placements at the Horeca Awards, a Westtoer Share-a-Smile project award, and the Q-label for quality and service. Tables can be booked online or by phone or email; reservations are limited to groups of up to eight. Schildia is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
