Schlauhaus UG

Schlauhaus is a German energy management brand helping homeowners and installers make household energy systems easier to coordinate. Its services begin with advice on selecting equipment for a home, including photovoltaic (PV) systems, batteries, wallboxes and heat pumps. The company also helps customers find suitable electricity tariffs for grid purchases or feeding self-generated power back into the grid, and supports setup through to a functioning, optimized system.

At the heart of its offering is the Schlauhaus-Box, a home energy management system that coordinates energy generation, storage and flexible consumption. It can manage devices such as electric vehicle chargers, heat pumps, washing machines and dishwashers. Schlauhaus says its system works with equipment from many manufacturers and with all electricity tariffs, without requiring customers to use a particular provider. Built on the Symcon smart-home software, the system can be tailored and reprogrammed as customer needs change. Data is processed locally on a mini-computer in the home rather than in a cloud data centre.
