Schmidt Pellets is a family-run agricultural business based in Ihlow, East Frisia, with a farming history of around 150 years. The brand specialises in horse feed and bedding, offering products through an online shop and a farm shop where customers can buy 20 kg bags and receive personal advice. Its range includes classic hay cobs, Sensibel hay cobs, alfalfa cobs, straw granulate and straw pellets.
The hay cobs are made from sun-dried grass, including hay from coastal and herb-rich meadows. Sensibel is intended for metabolically sensitive horses and features a higher fibre and lower sugar and fructan profile. Alfalfa cobs provide protein, vitamins and trace elements.
For bedding, the wheat-straw granulate and pellets are designed to absorb moisture, help keep stables clean and reduce muck volume; the granulate is also suitable for small animals such as rabbits. Schmidt Pellets highlights low-dust, low-germ products made without binding agents, with a focus on clean ingredients and practical care for animals, including those with sensitivities
