SCHMITZ

SCHMITZ Fahrrad. Freiheit. Leben. is a specialist bicycle retailer serving customers in Dorsten and Oberhausen, Germany. The company offers a broad selection of conventional bicycles and e-bikes, including trekking, city, mountain, gravel, road, folding, children’s and youth models, as well as cargo bikes for private and business use. Customers can explore a wide range of brands, receive expert advice and take bikes for a test ride in store.

SCHMITZ supports riders beyond the purchase with services including professional assembly, inspections and repairs. Its Dorsten workshop is a TÜV-certified ZEG quality workshop, while the company also operates a bicycle service workshop in Oberhausen. Repair work includes a documented diagnosis and cost estimate, followed by a final safety check and test ride; customers receive an SMS when their order is complete. Additional offerings include bike leasing, insurance and financing, a digital bicycle pass, delivery service and frame-size guidance. SCHMITZ also shares cycling advice and updates through its newsletter, and provides career and apprenticeship opportunities for people interested in the bicycle trade.
