The Bulgarian School of Politics, founded in 2001, is a non-governmental nonprofit organization with public benefit purposes. Its mission is to support the creation of a community of civic and political leaders with an active stand in the national, European and global public life, devoted to contemporary democratic values based on pluralism, tolerance and informed debate. Through seminars, conferences and leadership development initiatives, the School seeks to promote democracy and democratization of government action in Bulgaria, the countries of the Balkans and the Black Sea region. The School is located in Sofia and conducts trainings in Bulgaria and the neighboring Balkan countries. Its network of partners includes schools from the Association of Schools of Political Studies founded under the auspices of the Council of Europe, the Dutch Institute for Political Participation (IPP), and Bulgarian public institutions and think tanks. The programs of the School are supported by the Bulgarian National Assembly, the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Matra program), the Balkan Trust for Democracy, NED (Washington), the Trust for Civil Society in CEE.

About Bulgarian School of Politics
School of Politics, also known as "Dimiter Panitza" Bulgarian School of Politics, is a non-governmental organization founded in 2001. The organization aims to educate political and civic leaders in Bulgaria, following the vision of Dimitar - Ivan Eustatiev Panitza, a patriotic Bulgarian who actively worked towards the development of a democratic society in Bulgaria. As a co-founder of the Network of Schools of Political Studies under the auspices of the Council of Europe, School of Politics has been instrumental in promoting democratic values such as pluralism, tolerance, and informed debate.
Through training programs, conferences, and initiatives focused on the professional development of young public leaders, they strive to support the democratization process not only in Bulgaria but also in North Africa, Ukraine, and Southeast Europe. Partnering with various institutions and organizations, School of Politics has facilitated the participation of over 700 Bulgarian and 200 foreign leaders in their programs, including politicians, government officials, judges, businesspeople, and civil leaders. Their programs and projects are supported by a wide range of international partners, demonstrating their commitment to fostering sustainable leadership and democratic practices
