Ballonfahrten – Vol en montgolfière is a hot-air ballooning service based in Schmitten, Switzerland, offering flights over the Fribourg region. Led by pilot Gilbert Schorro, who has flown since 1989, the service draws on experience from around 1,400 balloon flights and 2,200 hours in the basket. Passengers can enjoy a 360-degree view of the landscape, including five or six lakes, the Jura, the cities of Fribourg and Bern, and the Pre-Alps and Alps, with views extending from Mont Blanc to the mountains of central Switzerland.

Flights operate throughout the year, with early-morning or evening departures in warmer months and more flexible departure times from September to March. Each flight lasts at least 90 minutes; passengers should allow about four hours for preparations, packing the balloon after landing, and the return journey. The price is CHF 320 per person, or CHF 300 per person for groups of three, with a maximum of four passengers per balloon.

Larger group outings can be arranged using multiple balloons, with prices available on request
