Schreibraum Freiburg

Schreibraum Freiburg is a creative writing practice in Freiburg-Wiehre, led by Carolin Küstner. It offers writing courses focused on autobiographical, healing and creative writing, welcoming both beginners and more experienced writers. No prior knowledge is required; participants are invited to explore writing with curiosity, openness and a willingness to discover their own creative potential.

Courses take place in small groups, creating a personal and supportive atmosphere where participants can feel seen and, if they choose, share their work. The limited group size also allows for individual guidance, including practical support for people facing writer’s block, self-criticism or uncertainty about how to tell a story. Sessions combine concise theoretical input with specific writing prompts, while leaving most of the time for writing itself. Alongside creative practice, participants receive foundational knowledge and writing tools to help develop their work.

Schreibraum Freiburg presents writing as a way to express oneself, exercise the imagination and explore personal experience.
