The Wrocław Animal Shelter for Homeless Animals, established in 1962 by activists from the Polish Society for the Protection of Animals in Wrocław, cares for animals without homes and helps them find safe, loving families. Located at Ślazowa 2, the shelter welcomes members of the public who bring in found animals at any time; staff are present to provide care. Between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., its animal rescue driver can also collect a found animal on request.

The shelter offers adoption listings for dogs, cats and other animals, alongside guidance on preparing for adoption and information about adoption requirements. People who cannot adopt permanently can support an animal through the virtual adoption program. Other ways to help include volunteering, financial or material donations, and donating 1.5% of personal income tax. The organization also provides educational resources, post-adoption advice and access to behavioral support. It shares news and animal-care guidance, organizes events and charity activities, and offers information for people who have lost or found an animal.
