Schüler Segeln Schleswig-Holstein e.V. is a nonprofit association dedicated to bringing sailing and maritime experiences within reach of school students across Schleswig-Holstein. Through its “team acht” project, the organization provides a fleet of youth sailing boats and supports sailing bases around the state, where students can learn and take part in activities on the water. The association works with schools, sailing clubs, sponsors, boatbuilders and local partners to maintain and expand this fleet; its tenth team acht boat was completed in 2025.

A central event is the annual SchülerCup, which brings crews from the sailing bases together in Kiel-Friedrichsort for a friendly maritime competition. The association also supports introductory sailing opportunities, school outings and other sailing events, helping young people gain practical experience of the sea and the sport. Its work includes preparing and maintaining boats, establishing local sailing bases and organizing fleet gatherings. Founded in 2004, Schüler Segeln Schleswig-Holstein celebrated its twentieth anniversary in 2024, marking two decades of creating educational and enjoyable opportunities for students to discover sailing.
