Schützenfest Kirchhellen

The Allgemeine Bürger- und Schützengesellschaft Kirchhellen 1585 is a community association dedicated to preserving local tradition and bringing people together in Kirchhellen. Its Schützenfest celebrates the area’s longstanding customs, friendship and shared enjoyment, with festivities held every three years. The event features a ceremonial procession, shooting competitions and an evening of dancing, offering residents and visitors opportunities to take part in a lively community occasion.

The association’s website provides information about upcoming dates, its board, history and royal couples, as well as links and contact-related details. It also highlights the scale of the tradition, reporting more than 125 Schützenfeste and over 1,200 engaged marksmen. The organization presents its activities as a way to experience and sustain local heritage across generations.

While the website is still under development and its content may change, it serves as an online introduction to the association and its central event: a recurring celebration of Kirchhellen’s traditions, community spirit and convivial gatherings
