The Schützenverein Lünten is a community-based shooting club serving Lünten and its wider village community. Its activities bring members and local organizations together through traditional celebrations, ceremonial events, sporting competitions and social gatherings. The club organizes the annual Lüntener Schützenfest and summer festival, featuring royal bird-shooting contests, processions and a breakfast buffet for local women, seniors and families. It also prepares members for events such as the Bürgermeister-Pokal shooting competition and holds regular training sessions and member meetings.

Beyond festivities, the association supports community life and charitable causes. Its traditional summer-festival collection benefits a different institution each year; in 2025, the club donated €1,850 to the Ambulant Paritätische Hospizdienst serving Vreden, Südlohn and Oeding. The organization works alongside the Spielmannszug Lünten and other local groups, and has expanded its board to include youth representatives. Marking 175 years in 2026, the club is preparing a jubilee celebration and commemorative book, reflecting its commitment to local heritage, participation and fellowship.
