Schützenverein Netphen

Schützenverein Netphen e.V. 1927 is a shooting and community club based in Netphen, Germany, combining local traditions with organized shooting sports. The association promotes fellowship and the preservation of customary activities, including its annual Schützenfest, bird shooting, ceremonial procession, and appearances by its Böllergruppe, whose salute shots open the bird-shooting event and festival. Its Halbach grounds, set among woodland, host the annual bird-shooting gathering.

The club also provides shooting practice and competition opportunities for members across disciplines associated with the Westfälischer Schützenbund (WSB) and Bund Deutscher Sportschützen (BDS). Training takes place at the Georg-Heimann-Halle, which includes an air-rifle range and a large-calibre range. Facilities include four modern air-rifle lanes with electronic scoring, as well as equipment for precision, multiple-distance, falling-target, duelling, speed, and IPSC disciplines. The club highlights youth development alongside regular training and competitions, and shares results through regional and national shooting organizations. Prospective members can contact the association to discuss joining; its website also provides event updates, club information, galleries, forms, and competition resources.
