Schützenverein Elmenhorst

Schützenverein Elmenhorst und Umgegend von 1962 e.V. is a community shooting club in Elmenhorst, bringing together members of different ages through sport, local tradition, and social activities. The club promotes shooting as a discipline that develops concentration, composure, responsibility, and self-confidence. Newcomers are welcome to attend a trial training session and discover the club’s activities firsthand.

Members take part in cup and friendly competitions, as well as championships at district, state, and German national levels. The club also supports youth participation and provides information about its training, leadership, history, and facilities, including its small-bore and handgun shooting ranges. Beyond competition, its annual Schützenfest is a central event in Elmenhorst’s local traditions. The club maintains longstanding ties with fellow regional associations and offers opportunities to enjoy informal gatherings, card games, and time together in its non-smoking social room. Through these sporting and community activities, Schützenverein Elmenhorst combines competitive ambition with friendship and the preservation of local customs.
