About Schutzstation Wattenmeer
Schutzstation Wattenmeer, founded in 1962, is a nature conservation association with the aim of promoting understanding and fascination for the Wadden Sea. As an independent organization, they are dedicated to protecting this unique coastal ecosystem and ensuring its preservation for future generations. With a network of 18 stations along the West Coast of Schleswig-Holstein, from Friedrichskoog to Rantum on Sylt, they provide professional nature experiences and a variety of engaging activities.
Their offerings include guided mudflat walks, beach tours, evening and night hikes, excursions to salt marshes, and bird watching tours. These activities are open to individuals, school classes, and groups. In addition, Schutzstation Wattenmeer manages three seminar houses located at Westerhever Lighthouse, Hallig Hooge, and Hallig Langeneß, where visitors can enjoy unique accommodations and tailored educational programs.
