Schweichinger-Hof Althengstett

Schweichinger Hof is a family-run agricultural and equestrian business in Althengstett, combining horse boarding with farming and horse breeding. Its facilities accommodate up to 40 boarding horses, with a choice of individual boxes or group housing for three to four horses, depending on availability. Daily care includes fresh bedding and hay, with hay, oats, and straw supplied from the farm’s own production.

The horses have access to around 10 hectares of pasture directly connected to the property. During the summer, they are turned out in herds on rotating pastures with water, shade, and nearby group paddocks; in winter, they use paddocks and, when available, a winter pasture. Riding facilities include a bright, airy 40-by-20-metre indoor arena, an outdoor sand arena, and a lunge hall. Riding lessons in dressage and show jumping are offered two to three times a week, and riders can arrange to set up jumps or courses. The surrounding area also offers opportunities for trail rides. The farm manages agricultural land for arable cultivation and grassland.
