Schweinelauf

The Schweinelauf is a community running event organized by Lions Club Mettmann-Wülfrath. Its website provides information for runners and supporters, including event announcements, registration, race details, route information, participant lists, results, photographs, and contact information. Results from the Schweinelauf are available for multiple years, reflecting the event’s ongoing history and local presence. The club also invites visitors to support its work through donations and shares updates on Instagram, while sponsors and partners are acknowledged on the event website.

In 2027, the Schweinelauf will celebrate its 20th anniversary. The organizers have announced that the event will take place on May 27, 2027, on the public holiday of Corpus Christi, rather than the usual Ascension Day schedule. This date was selected to make room for the 1. FC Wülfrath, which will mark its 100th anniversary in 2027. Registration is expected to open in good time through the website. Through the Schweinelauf, Lions Club Mettmann-Wülfrath brings together participants, partners, and supporters around a recurring local sporting event.
