Schwert und Bogen

Schwert und Bogen is a martial arts school and training centre focused on historical European martial arts, with activities offered across Hohenstein, Nuremberg, Coburg, Erlangen, Neumarkt and the Würzburg area. Its teaching includes long-sword combat and archery based on European historical traditions, alongside sword-and-buckler practice and training with other historical weapons, including the sabre and sickle. The school also offers self-defence classes for adults and young people, kickboxing, and archery courses for children.

Participants can join beginner courses, attend individual training, or practise on an archery course. Seminars and workshops provide opportunities to explore specific techniques and subjects, such as historical swordplay and meditative archery with yoga. Schwert und Bogen also runs training programmes and events, including an instructor-training option, and its members take part in tournaments and demonstrations.
