Schwimmfreunde

Schwimmfreunde Hegnach 1974 e. V. is a community swimming club based in Waiblingen-Hegnach, Germany, supporting swimming, triathlon and fitness through activities in and around the water.

Its program includes regular swim training, competitions, club events and opportunities for members to develop their skills. The club also offers swimming instruction for children, including beginner lessons for children aged four and a half and older at the teaching pool in Waiblingen-Bittenfeld. Participants can work toward swimming badges, while families can register children for places or join the waiting list when classes are full.

For adults, aquafitness is held on Thursday evenings as part of the regular training program. The club organizes activities such as training camps, excursions and seasonal gatherings, and welcomes people interested in coaching or volunteering, with experienced trainers available to share their knowledge. Schwimmfreunde Hegnach emphasizes a safe, respectful environment for children and young people.

Following the closure of the Hegnach pool in February 2026, swimming activities are continuing at the indoor pool in Waiblingen-Neustadt
