Schwimmschule Baunatal

Schwimmschule Baunatal e.V. is a nonprofit swimming school based in Baunatal, Germany, offering instruction for beginners and swimmers ready to develop their skills. Its beginner courses are intended for children from around five years old, with no prior swimming ability required, although participants should feel comfortable in the water. Lessons introduce breaststroke, breathing out underwater, swimming on the front or back, retrieving an object from shoulder-deep water, and pool safety rules. The course aims to prepare learners for the Seepferdchen swimming badge.

For swimmers who have earned Seepferdchen, follow-on courses help build confidence, endurance, and safer swimming. Participants refine their arm, leg, and overall technique, practise diving to depths of up to two metres, and work on backstroke and jumps from the one- or three-metre board. The stated goal is to progress toward the Bronze swimming badge and a headfirst dive from the poolside. The school provides course information and registration online, along with details about instructors, events, and its learning materials shop.
