Schwimmschule Delphin

Schwimmschule Delphin is a swimming and aquatic fitness school serving families and adults in Hamburg and nearby areas, including Seevetal. For more than 30 years, it has helped people develop confidence, safety and enjoyment in the water. Its approach is grounded in Aquapädagogik, a concept developed by founder and sports education director Uwe Legahn that combines wellbeing, water safety and varied movement experiences. Classes take place in the school’s pools in Hamburg-Alstertal (Poppenbüttel) and Seevetal, with water maintained at 32°C.

Children can begin with gentle baby swimming from six weeks old, then progress to playful Pingu water familiarisation for toddlers, beginner lessons and advanced courses. Classes build skills step by step, from initial swimming ability through Seepferdchen and Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, with attention to each child’s age and development rather than pressure to perform. Adults can join beginner swimming lessons, AquaFitness and water gymnastics, including pregnancy fitness. The school also lists courses in Fischbek and offers online course information, booking and customer account services.
