Schwimmschule Emmen

Schwimmschule Emmen provides swimming instruction and water-based fitness activities for children and adults in Emmen, Switzerland. Its courses range from water familiarisation for young children to swimming badge classes for children and swimming lessons for adults. The school notes that children aged five and older are particularly well placed to learn, as swimming can complement their natural enthusiasm for play and movement.

Once children can swim, they may continue developing their skills through the junior or competitive programmes of Swim Team Lucerne (STL), where they receive specialist guidance. The school is an important foundation for STL’s competitive swimming programme and works in partnership with Schwimmschule Kriens. STL itself was formed through the merger of Schwimmverein Kriens and Schwimmverein Emmen and is among the largest swimming clubs in Central Switzerland.

Schwimmschule Emmen’s instructors are prepared for their roles through dedicated training courses. Lessons take place at the Mooshüsli swimming facilities in Emmen. Alongside its swimming-school programmes, the organisation offers water gymnastics focused on health
