Schwimmsportzentrum

Schwimmsportzentrum Hannover-Lahe is a planned swimming and sports facility developed through a partnership between Schwimmclub Altwarmbüchen von 2005 e. V. and Hannoverscher Sportverein von 1896 e.

V. The project aims to serve the clubs’ approximately 1,100 active swimmers as well as the wider public in Hannover and the surrounding region. Its proposed facilities include a 50-metre, eight-lane pool that can be divided into 25-metre sections, a separate teaching pool, spectator seating, fitness and strength-training rooms, an event area and a sauna.

Planned services include pool access for sports clubs and schools, swimming instruction, aquafitness, public swimming under a club-based model, competitions, training camps and association courses. The venue is also intended to host business events and offer space for special rentals. The project is designed for energy-efficient, CO2-neutral operation, using geothermal energy and rooftop solar panels.

It is being advanced as a private initiative, with construction and operation supported by a cooperative open to members of the public. The source describes the facility as planned, not completed
