Sci-Abile

Sci-Abile Montagna senza Barriere is a volunteer-led ODV association based in Biella, Italy, dedicated to making mountain experiences accessible to everyone. It welcomes people who want to share a passion for skiing, the outdoors and the freedom of exploring nature, with the aim of leaving no one excluded. Activities are offered free of charge, apart from the cost of required insurance coverage, which is valid for 12 months.

The association brings together experienced national ski guides, disability assistants and volunteers, and works in collaboration with FISIP, the Italian Paralympic Winter Sports Federation. Its services include guided skiing for blind participants, with guides helping identify suitable conditions, locations and timing to match individual needs. Sci-Abile also offers “sitting” experiences, giving participants the chance to enjoy an adapted descent on snow, and outdoor activities focused on safe, adventurous exploration of the Biella area. The team invites individuals to get in touch to discuss, plan and book an experience tailored to their needs, and to discover the region’s natural surroundings together.
