Science animated by Bara Krautz creates scientific visuals that make complex research and technology clear and engaging. Led by a PhD-trained structural biologist with professional 3D animation training, the studio serves academic and industry clients, including teams in biotech and pharma. Its offerings include 3D molecular and cellular animations, scientific illustrations, graphical abstracts, manuscript figures, and journal cover art.

Projects are tailored to each client’s needs and budget. For animation work, Bara collaborates with clients on the storyboard and visual concept, then develops scientifically accurate, polished 3D films. Illustration services include custom 2D and 3D graphics, while cover design can build on the artist’s concepts or develop a client’s ideas to suit a journal’s criteria and style. The portfolio features work for biological research and biotechnology, including molecular mechanisms, cellular processes, and editorial illustrations.

Bara Krautz studied biochemistry in Prague, earned a PhD in structural biology at the University of Leeds, and completed postdoctoral research at PSI and ETH Zurich.
