SciFest is a not-for-profit brand that oversees the running of the SciFest program. Founded in 2006 by the current CEO, Sheila Porter, the program has been promoting science education and innovation for over a decade. Initially run by Sheila while teaching in Dublin, it quickly gained traction and became a nationwide initiative in 2007, with the support of Intel Ireland.

As a registered charity and company, SciFest is committed to its mission of inspiring and empowering students in the field of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The program offers various opportunities for schools, teachers, and students to get involved, including SciFest@School and SciFest@College events. These events provide platforms for students to showcase their scientific projects and compete for different awards.

With a dedicated board of directors, including representatives from academia and industry, SciFest continues to thrive under the guidance of Prof. David FitzPatrick as the current chair. The brand is proud to have President Michael D.
