Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Amieira do Tejo is a Portuguese Private Institution of Social Solidarity serving the community of Amieira do Tejo. Guided by values of solidarity, transparency, respect, inclusion, ethics and social responsibility, it works to meet local needs and improve quality of life, particularly for older people and families.

Its social services include a residential home for older adults, a day centre offering care and social activities, and a home-support service that brings assistance into people’s homes while respecting their routines and dignity. The institution also provides healthcare services and operates a community laundry. Religious activities and a local volunteer bank form part of its wider community engagement.

The Santa Casa maintains sites of historical and community significance, including the Chapel of Mercy, the former Hospital of Mercy—now reopened as Ponte de Comunhão—and Casa do Calvário. The restored former hospital is intended to host culture, learning, training and intergenerational gatherings. The organisation also welcomes volunteers, members, partners and donations to support its mission and ongoing work.
