The Society for the Conservation of Nature of Liberia (SCNL), established in 1986, is Liberia's oldest conservation organization dedicated to promoting sustainable management of the country's natural resources. As a non-profit and non-governmental entity, SCNL collaborates with various stakeholders, including the government, local communities, and international organizations, to enhance conservation efforts.

With a mission to inspire the appreciation of biodiversity, SCNL engages in numerous programs and projects, such as the GolaMa Project, the Green Livelihood Alliance, and initiatives under the Liberia Forest Sector Project. Their key activities focus on environmental education, community development, and climate action, encouraging local participation in conservation.

Governed by an elected Board of Directors, SCNL organizes an Annual General Assembly to discuss conservation policies and progress. Through partnerships and a commitment to inclusivity, SCNL strives to foster a healthier environment and improve the quality of life for all Liberians, ensuring that nature and community welfare go hand in hand.
