Scolcast

Scolcast is an innovative platform designed to host educational podcasts and video capsules created in schools. Developed by the Haute école pédagogique (HEP) of Vaud in collaboration with the General Directorate of Compulsory Education of Vaud, Scolcast serves as a dynamic space for students to express their creativity and share their learning experiences. The platform allows users to create a wide range of media content, including interviews, reports, and short films, enhancing their education and media literacy.

Scolcast also offers seamless streaming options, enabling the distribution of content either publicly or privately, with customizable access settings such as login requirements and content limitations. The platform features user-friendly tools for content production, and it recently introduced artificial intelligence capabilities to generate summaries and subtitles for uploaded media. In addition, Scolcast's mobile application provides an intuitive interface for creating and editing multimedia projects. Ultimately, Scolcast enriches the educational landscape by empowering students to engage with media in an interactive and meaningful way.
