Scooby Medina

Scooby Protectora y Santuario is a Spanish animal rescue and welfare organization with more than 30 years of experience providing shelter to abandoned and mistreated animals. In the 1990s, Scooby brought public attention to the abuse of Spanish greyhounds, and its work continues to focus on rescue, care and finding animals a better future. The organization describes itself as Spain’s largest refuge, with more than 600 dogs and cats and around 200 farm animals living in its facilities.

Scooby operates shelters in Medina del Campo, Valladolid, Zamora and Palencia. Its services and programs include adoption for dogs and cats, virtual adoption, sanctuary care and education. People can also support its work by becoming members, volunteering or making donations, and the organization offers a shop.

Scooby says its resources are limited and that it depends mainly on donations, member contributions and international support. Its central aim is to keep rescuing animals and provide them with the care and future they deserve
