Scooter's Place

Scooter’s Place is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people through horses. It provides individualized equine-assisted programs for children and adults with physical disabilities, behavioral needs, and mental or emotional challenges. In a safe, inclusive setting, the organization aims to help participants build resilience and independence.

Its programs include adaptive therapeutic riding and therapeutic horsemanship, with lessons tailored to each person’s needs and pace. Scooter’s Place welcomes people of all abilities and specializes in offering a quiet, supportive environment for those who benefit from more individualized attention. Its program for veterans uses the experience of working with horses to support veterans as they address service-connected disabilities.

The organization also invites community members to learn about its work, register for riding programs, and volunteer. Donations help sustain the horses and keep programs running year-round. Scooter’s Place is committed to making its services affordable and accessible, relying on volunteers and donors to support its mission and the people it serves.
