We conduct investigation into both the ‘legal’ and illegal wildlife trade that currently plagues our wonderful country. We then use the information and photographs we gather to put before BKSDA and ask them to take appropriate action. Then we follow up a bit later to make sure they have taken action. We never give up.

About Scorpion Foundation Indonesia
Scorpion Foundation Indonesia, also known as Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group, is a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to protecting Indonesian wildlife. Since its establishment in May 2015, the foundation has been actively working to combat the rampant illegal wildlife trade in our country. Through weekly and sometimes daily investigations, our dedicated team gathers photos and reports, which are then sent to the government with a request for action.
In addition to monitoring captive wildlife in zoos, safari parks, and private homes, we conduct awareness campaigns, outreach programs, and joint patrols with forestry police. We also have a dedicated unit, Tapanuli Orangutan Protection Unit, focused on protecting the endangered Tapanuli orangutans. With a vision to safeguard wildlife from extinction and prevent animal cruelty, Scorpion Foundation works closely with the Indonesian government to strengthen laws and enforcement efforts.
